Soundbath for nervous system regulation
Soundbath, Held in the Jungle
You lie down. Sound moves through the room. That is genuinely the whole instruction.
What it is
A live soundbath, not a recording
Shannon is a sound healer with 25+ years of running ceremonies, workshops and sound initiations internationally. The soundbath is played live, in the room, with you.
You lie on a mat with a blanket. The sound builds slowly and moves around you. There is nothing to follow, nothing to get right, and no way to do it badly.
Why it is in the week
Somewhere to stop trying
Most women arrive from cities and calendars, with a body that has been braced for a long time.
The soundbath is one of the first moments in the week where nothing is being asked of you at all. For a lot of women that is stranger than the ceremony.
It also sits early in the week on purpose, so your system has arrived properly before anything deeper begins.
What to expect
Reactions vary and all of them are fine
Some women fall asleep. Some cry without knowing why. Some feel restless for ten minutes and then drop.
You can leave at any point. You can sit up rather than lie down. Bring a jumper — jungle evenings are cooler than people expect.
In their words
Women who walked through
“The retreat gave me a sisterhood I didn’t know I was missing.”
I feel nourished, full of love, and very relaxed. The quality of women who led and attended were full of wisdom and personality.
The dynamic at the end, filled with harmony, love, and connection, illustrated the retreat’s essence perfectly.
If you are feeling stuck, broken, exhausted, or simply in need of refuge and connection, go to the Portals Retreat. It’s a beautiful opportunity to reconnect with your wholeness.

Questions
The things women ask us
No. A soundbath is not a performance and there is nothing to learn beforehand. You lie down, and the sound does the rest.
Shannon draws on instruments and techniques built up over 25+ years of ceremony work internationally. You do not need to know what is coming — the sound builds slowly enough that nothing arrives as a shock.
Not at all. You are lying down on a mat with a blanket for the entire session. It is one of the least physically demanding parts of the week.
That happens often, and it is not considered rude or a waste of the session. Some of the most tired women in the group get their best rest right here.
You can sit up, move, or step outside at any point without explanation. Tell a facilitator beforehand if you would rather sit further back or nearer the door, and they will make space for that.
It comes early, before the ceremony, once everyone has properly arrived. It is often the first moment in the week where nothing at all is being asked of you, which is exactly the point.
